Image
Art of obsession by Emily Shore  Check TW list before reading ARC Read 5/5⭐️ 5/5🌶 ⚠️Spoilers included in this review.⚠️ CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS ON THIS ONE! This is not a love story it is obsession.  The mmc is completely unhinged, and unapologetic about it. This story is not for the faint of heart, and crosses so many boundaries, it's called a Dark Artist Stalker Novel for a reason.  Immediately we are put in the mindset of a traveling historian, Everleigh. Who is being stalked, by an artist, who leaves beautiful artwork of her. Of course no police officer would believe a booktok girlie about the situation, so she doesn't say anything.  Then she gets kidnapped by said Artist stalker, The mysterious masked Archeron.  Will she fall victim to him, Stockholm Syndrome, or Fix-Him Syndrome?  A tale of pure obsession.  "It will explore the depths of human emotion, the fragility of connection, and the beauty of surrender. It is not for the faint of heart, nor th...

Little Lies and Valentines By Lashell Rain

4/5⭐️ 3/5🌶 Such a cute dark stalker novella. An easy read if you want a valentines themed stalker romance. Not a ton of spice. (Begins around 55% in, but is good quality ✨️) Check TW list before reading Received through Stuff Your Kindle Day ⚠️Spoilers included in this review.⚠️    Abby is fresh out of a terrible relationship when she catches the eye of a man who immediately becomes obsessed with her, and begins to shower her in flowers, and letters of affection and knowledge of himself, without revealing his identity. After four months of writing letters with her Stalker, she begins to feel she may be ready to date, and is definitely feeling things for her stalker.   Alas, Alex the bailiff who is coming into the coffee shop she works at every day is flirting with her, and asks her on a date. Torn between two men, one who she doesn't even know, what will she do?   I did think it was very obvious who the stalker is. With not much knowledge of exactly what the...

Until The World Falls Down By Jordan Lynde Review

3.5/5 ⭐️ 4/5🌶 ⚠️Some Spoilers included in Review⚠️ Read on Kindle Unlimited I really enjoy reimagined or retellings of other stories. I also really enjoy the 1986 classic Jim Henson Film The Labyrinth. So when I find a book that is marketed as a retelling of the Labyrinth I kinda go nuts. I remember seeing an ad for this book, before it was released and the hype for it was decent as well, so it was quickly added to the tbr pending its release.  It's release has since come and gone and here we are with about 520 pages on my KU app that I have now read.  The story immediately starts off like an ai skit you'd hear on TikTok while subway surfers plays in the background, but did a good job at getting your attention.  A quick few chapters and we're onto the spice. Gotta say I've read several Labyrinth retellings and Enver is by far my favorite, as far as his mannerisms being similar to Jareth.  The story seemed to have several different themes. Including anti ...

January Reviews

Image
These are some of the books I read during January with small reviews for each.  Lawson by Samantha whiskey  3/5 Daughter of Hockey Coach helps the team, and falls for a player who helped her out before knowing who she was. Decent hockey romance. I didn't feel like it was fantastic, but I didn't hate it. No Pucking Way/Our Pucking Way by C.R. Jane 4/5 Woman with amnesia feels something at a hockey rink, spoiler alert it's the players. Decent push and pull between all the characters with nice twists thrown into the plot. Stranded by Selena winters 4/5 Snowed In With your masked stalker? Yes, please. Wasn't a super long book, and was a pretty good storyline. Carnage island by Lexi C. Foss 3.5/5 Rejected by an alpha of another clan, and sent to a "reject/prison" island, where you find your fated mate? I've tried really hard to enjoy this author, and I think after this one, it's just not clicking for me. It's a good base storyline, but both books...
